Jaimee Eckers is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying the molecular mechanisms underlying radiation therapy resistance in head and neck cancers. Additionally, she works as a part-time Associate Lecturer at UW-Madison teaching introductory biology courses and undergraduate human anatomy. Prior to this position, Jaimee worked for two years as a Forensic DNA Analyst at the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory. Although she enjoyed her work at the crime lab, she missed mentoring and teaching students so she decided to return to academics to further her teaching and research experience.
